Why the LOFAmark scheme is being developed
The Council of LOFA has concluded that one of the biggest issues that face the garden furniture and barbecue industry over the next few years is the environmental impact of our products.
Many organisations, statutory bodies, environmental organisations, retailers and consumer groups are increasingly focused on this area. Issues, acceptable standards and laws are changing all the time. We believe that we need to take a proactive lead, in order to develop a scheme that is both practical and effective.
We know that consumers are looking for suppliers to help them choose products that help them to reduce their impact on the natural world. By developing a well founded and credible scheme LOFA will help to make the products our members sell more attractive in the market place.
The scheme is based upon, and is a practical demonstration of, a series of values that LOFA believes should apply to the products and activities of our members. To see these values, click here.
